My Museum of Natural History trip.

Today, our class took a field trip to the Museum of Natural History to see the Neanderthals, Chimpanzees, Homo sapiens and other types of hominids. We also viewed the Native Americans in the plains indians hall. The idea that I gained from this lesson was how some of the prehistoric human's enemies, like hyenas, coyotes, and vultures, were fought off.
I came to this idea because in some of the wax replicas it showed how the neanderthals fought off their foes. This makes me think that the neanderthals had special weapons for fending off their enemies. This also makes me think that maybe when they killed or hurt the animals that were trying to take their food that they would also use that animal for nutritional sustenance. I think this is true because neanderthals ate almost anything they could find of nutritional value. Also, to kill these animals they would obviously need weapons.
This is the beginning of the technological race to survive as a human race. Everything we have today including, cars, radios, nuclear weapons, and so on, derived from the simple inventions of the neanderthals.
Like in the previous paragraph, this simple invention was improved upon over eons of generations. This simple idea has probably been added into many ideas and inventions created after these simple weapons so many of the things we have today probably have some connection to these early creations. The simple weaponry pretty much started the whole "arms"  race that has been going on since the beginning of civilization. Now, some of these weapons are so powerful that they even threaten our existence. We can prevent this by striving to the goal of world piece and destroying such useless weapons that are such a threat to humans.
