Save The Fish.

Did you know that scientists believe that in about 50 years, all the fish will go extinct? Why does this matter? Because if the fish go extinct, the whole food chain could unravel. By "fish," I mostly mean: sharks, crabs, whales, seals, walrus, dolphins, and pretty much any sea life except for krill, plankton, jellyfish, and some sea turtles. If fish go extinct, then so will seabirds, and then the predator that eats seabirds will go extinct, and whatever eats that will go extinct, until the whole food chain will unravel slowly. The Atlantic Bluefin Tuna is a perfect example of an endangered fish. People are fishing them every day! If you were a fish, would you like it if your friends were being captured in nets and eaten daily? Would you like to be caught and eaten? That's what I thought!!! So please, see that even though fish may not be cute and cuddly, they sure are important! Make a change today. Go to www.blueocean.org and donate today!

Hugo class trip.

Today, our class went to see the magical movie, Hugo! The movie was emotional and unpredictable. It showed me that life can be adventurous and you should never give up. I think you should watch Hugo because it is so suspenseful and full of action! I my opinion, it is better than pizza! There were adorable scenes, sublime scenes, and nerve-wracking scenes that leave you only guessing what wonderful, eye-catching, interesting things will come next! The movie brings you back in time to follow Hugo in this marvelous movie. So, what are you waiting for? Hop into a taxi, bike, car, train, helicopter, or whatever you use for transportation and head to the theaters to see the amazing movie, The Inventions of Hugo Cabret! (or just Hugo) In theaters now!!! Enjoy the show! (if you watch it...and you better!!!)

My Museum of Natural History trip.

Today, our class took a field trip to the Museum of Natural History to see the Neanderthals, Chimpanzees, Homo sapiens and other types of hominids. We also viewed the Native Americans in the plains indians hall. The idea that I gained from this lesson was how some of the prehistoric human's enemies, like hyenas, coyotes, and vultures, were fought off.
I came to this idea because in some of the wax replicas it showed how the neanderthals fought off their foes. This makes me think that the neanderthals had special weapons for fending off their enemies. This also makes me think that maybe when they killed or hurt the animals that were trying to take their food that they would also use that animal for nutritional sustenance. I think this is true because neanderthals ate almost anything they could find of nutritional value. Also, to kill these animals they would obviously need weapons.
This is the beginning of the technological race to survive as a human race. Everything we have today including, cars, radios, nuclear weapons, and so on, derived from the simple inventions of the neanderthals.
Like in the previous paragraph, this simple invention was improved upon over eons of generations. This simple idea has probably been added into many ideas and inventions created after these simple weapons so many of the things we have today probably have some connection to these early creations. The simple weaponry pretty much started the whole "arms"  race that has been going on since the beginning of civilization. Now, some of these weapons are so powerful that they even threaten our existence. We can prevent this by striving to the goal of world piece and destroying such useless weapons that are such a threat to humans.
